Electrician Falls to Death at Raipur Airport

A contractual electrician died after falling while repairing a ceiling light at Swami Vivekananda Airport, Raipur, on Thursday, police said.

The incident occurred around 11 am near boarding gates 7 and 8 on the first floor. The victim, identified as Kuber Chand Sahu, fell nearly 30 feet while working beneath a false ceiling.

Airport authorities said Sahu reportedly became dizzy due to extreme heat and lost consciousness before the fall. He sustained severe head injuries and was rushed by airport ambulance to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police reached the spot after being informed and have launched an investigation into the incident.
