The notification, issued by Anil Jayhind, national president of the AICC OBC department, has divided several districts into urban (city) and rural units, assigning separate presidents for better organisational control.

The state Congress unit is expected to hold district and block-level meetings soon to guide the newly appointed presidents and launch outreach campaigns across Chhattisgarh.
