American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin hands over medical equipment worth Rs 75 lakh to Chhattisgarh

Raipur: The American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) has provided a total of six ‘Allied Meditech Vista Intensive Care Ventilator with Compressor’ worth Rs.75 lakhs to Chhattisgarh. The professional association for Indian American physicians has given these state-of-the-art machines to the state as a part of its Covid-19 relief programme. These ventilators will be installed in Rajnandgaon and Gariyaband district hospitals and the Urban Community Health Center at Gudhiyari, Raipur.

Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel has thanked the association for their assistance saying that these devices would help in the treatment of Covid-19 patients with severe infection. He expressed his gratitude to Association President Dr. Ravi Kolli, former President Dr. Anupama Gotimukula and Covid Relief Committee President Dr. Sujit Punnam. The Chief Minister has also thanked North America Chhattisgarh Association (NACHA) President Mr. Ganesh Kar for establishing coordination between the Health Department and AAPI because of which the state has received these equipment.

Founded in 1982, AAPI represents the values and interests of more than 80,000 practicing physicians in the United States.
