NDA Leads: Baghel Questions EC Role; CM Sai Celebrates Victory

Raipur: As trends from the Bihar Assembly elections show a clear lead for the NDA, political reactions have intensified in Chhattisgarh. The rising momentum of the NDA has sparked sharp exchanges between leaders of both major parties.
Baghel Targets Election Commission
Former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel took a strong swipe at Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, commenting on alleged electoral irregularities.
He wrote:
“64 lakh voters’ names were deleted, 16 lakh applied as new voters, yet you added 21 lakh votes… irregularity after irregularity. The BJP couldn’t have asked for a better associate than you.”
Baghel’s post indirectly accused the Election Commission (EC) of favouring the NDA.
CM Sai’s Media Advisor Hits Back
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s Media Advisor Pankaj Kumar Jha countered Baghel’s remarks sharply.
He wrote:
“This is very painful. Even if they win by mistake, Rahul Gandhi quickly takes credit, and here they have pushed Baghel forward. This is inappropriate.”
He added that the Congress has repeatedly tried to undermine trust in democracy, EVMs, and the electoral system by making baseless allegations.
Jha also stated that Rahul Gandhi should first take responsibility for such a major defeat before blaming other leaders.
CM Sai Celebrates Victory with Ministers
On the other hand, the BJP celebrated the NDA’s lead.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated his cabinet colleagues by offering them sweets.
