Teachers Get Hands-On Training in Money Management at Borsi School: NCFE’s Financial Literacy Program Empowers Educators Across Cluster Schools

Dhamtari | 12 October 2025 A Financial Education Training Program (FETP) sponsored by the National Centre for Financial Education (NCFE) was successfully conducted at Government Higher Secondary School, Borsi, and its associated cluster schools on 11 October 2025. The initiative aimed to equip teachers with essential financial literacy skills, enabling them to guide students and their communities toward better financial decision-making.

The session was conducted by NCFE Financial Education Trainer and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Vikas Gupta, who trained about 39 teachers and staff members through practical examples and easy-to-understand modules. He covered key topics such as Income and Expense Management, Budgeting, Saving and Investment Strategies, Banking and Digital Payments, Insurance Awareness, Mutual Funds, SIPs, Power of Compounding, Financial Goal Planning, Retirement and Pension Schemes, Cyber Security Awareness, and Fraud Prevention.

School Principal Surendra Kumar Dhruv praised the program, stating, “Such initiatives prepare teachers and students for real-life financial challenges and help them make informed economic decisions.”
School Coordinator Rajesh Prasad added, “Financial education is not just for individuals — it’s an investment in building a financially responsible next generation.”

Teachers from Borsi and nearby cluster schools expressed appreciation for the session, noting that it will enhance their ability to teach practical financial knowledge to students from classes 1 to 12.

The NCFE, a Section-8 (not-for-profit) company promoted by RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, and PFRDA under the aegis of the Financial Stability and Development Council (FSDC), Ministry of Finance, Government of India, is dedicated to building a financially aware and empowered India.
