Deepen Chavda arrested in custom milling scam

RAIPUR
The State Economic Offences Investigation Bureau (EOW) has arrested Deepen Chavda in connection with the custom milling scam. He has been remanded in police custody for seven days.

Chavda is an associate of Anwar Dhebar and was allegedly in charge of managing illegal funds worth over ₹2,000 crore in other cases registered with the EOW. Evidence suggests that Chavda collected ₹20 crore from public servants in the custom milling scam.

The charge sheet in the case was filed against Manoj Soni, the then Managing Director, and Roshan Chandrakar in February 2025. Investigations against Anil Tuteja and Anwar Dhebar are ongoing.
