Seventy-six new Swami Atmanand English medium schools are ready to open in Chhattisgarh from this session. The admission of students to these new schools will start from July 1. Raipur district alone will have 12 schools. With the opening of these new schools, the number of Swami Atmanand English medium schools in the state will increase from 171 to 247.
Education Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam informed that the education officers have instructions regarding starting the seventy-six new schools. He said that Swami Atmanand English Schools garnered much public interest. Several parents and children have been demanding English medium schools in their areas during the Chief Minister’s assembly-wise visit and meeting. At the request of parents and children, the Chief Minister announced 76 new schools in the state.
Twelve Swami Atmanand Excellent English Medium Schools will start in Raipur. These schools will open in Mowa, Lalpur, Shantinagar, Gurunanak Chowk, Mohba Bazar, Sarona, Mandir-Hasaud, Samoda, Gobra-Nawapara, Saragaon, Tilaknagar, Gudhiyari and Birgaon.
New English will be made here in other districts.

Dr Premsai Singh Tekam said Hindi medium education will continue in schools as before. The already approved setup of Hindi medium teachers will also continue as before. Schools can admit students as per their requirements and capability. Thirty-two Swami Atmanand Excellent Hindi Medium Schools are also running in the state.
