Railway ARM’s dead body found between tracks; Mother blames officers for harassment.

A gruesome accident happened during the ongoing non-interlocking work between Anuppur-Shahdol on the Bilaspur-Katni rail route. Railway’s area manager Yogendra Singh Bhati got hit by the train and died. The DRM has given instructions to form a committee to investigate the accident. On the other hand, the officer’s mother has blamed the senior officers for this.
Non-interlocking work is underway for the third railway line between Anuppur and Shahdol from June 17 to 26. Due to this many trains have been blocked and cancelled. On Thursday, at around 7.30 pm, a goods train on one track and a Katni-Bilaspur train arrived at the Amlai RRI cabin. Seeing the train approaching, all the workers and labourers went to the side of the railway line. Some people were standing in the space between two lines.

After the train passed, people saw that the area manager was lying with blood-soaked injuries on the side of the railway track. He was rushed to Dhanpuri Central Hospital at around 8.30 pm, where doctors declared him dead. Yogendra Singh Bhati, a resident of Udaipur, Rajasthan, was working as Regional Railway Manager in Baikunthpur. Reportedly, he was busy working at the time of the accident.
Preliminary investigation and interrogation revealed that Yogendra Singh Bhati had gone to the RRI cabin during work. After doing official work there, He was coming towards the railway track. However, no one was aware of his arrival during the work. Then a goods train and a local came on two the tracks simultaneously. Afterwards, the workers saw the area manager lying injured in the middle of the tracks.

The officers of the Bilaspur division were also surprised when they got the information. Hearing the news, a railway officials team, including Divisional Railway Manager Alok Sahai, reached the hospital late at night. The DRM and railway officers also visited the spot. He has talked about forming a committee to investigate how the accident happened.

Area manager Yogendra Singh Bhati’s mother has accused senior officers of harassing him. She said that seniors were troubling him for a long time. He was frequently transferred and not even given a car for convenience. Due to this, he used to live under mental stress. The mother alleged that the train left without a signal. Because of this, her son died. At present, no railway official is ready to speak in this regard.

The wife of Area manager Yogendra Singh Bhati is also working in the Railways as an Assistant Operating Manager in Jabalpur. They got married a few months back. Late Yogendra Singh Bhati was an officer of the 2018 IRTS (INDIAN RAILWAY TRAFFIC SERVICE) batch and originally hails from Rajasthan. As soon as his family members received the news of the accident, they reached Dhanpuri Hospital.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has conveyed deep sorrow over the death of Yogendra Singh Bhati. He expressed his condolences to his bereaved family members.
