BJP MP Vijay Baghel Slams Congress Over Allegations Regarding Renaming Swami Atmanand Schools

Raipur
Vijay Baghel, Member of Parliament from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) representing the Durg Lok Sabha constituency, criticized former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for spreading false allegations regarding the renaming of Swami Atmanand schools. He accused the Congress of indulging in baseless rhetoric without verifying facts, labeling it as the words of a fake man.

Baghel clarified that under the Prime Minister’s scheme, the name of any selected school will not be changed. Schools selected under this scheme will receive additional financial and technical support from the central government.

Speaking at a press conference held at the BJP office in Ekta Parisar on Saturday, Baghel stated that the Congress has once again resorted to ’empty rhetoric’ on the ambitious scheme of the Central and Chhattisgarh governments led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai. He accused the Congress of trying to confuse the people of the state by spreading various lies about this scheme. He highlighted the irony that while the Congress did not hesitate to disrespect saints and seers, it is now engaging in despicable politics using their names. Baghel also mentioned that while the Bhupesh government did not allocate any budget for Swami Atmanand schools, the Central government has allocated a budget of Rs 27,000 crore for the upcoming five years under the Prime Minister’s scheme.

Baghel further stated that the poor condition of the Swami Atmanand schools opened during the Congress regime is well known throughout the state. Now, the BJP government in the state is making commendable efforts to improve the education system and provide quality education. He criticized the Congress for its hypocrisy, pointing out that whenever there is talk of development and education, the Congress starts to feel threatened because wherever education standards rise, the Congress fades away, and wherever poverty diminishes, the Congress ceases to exist.

He hailed the initiative of the Central Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai for inaugurating the Prime Minister’s School for Rising India (PMRI) scheme in the state. He explained that under the first phase of the PMRI scheme, each school will be upgraded to the ‘Hub and Spoke’ model by spending Rs 2 crore on each school. The aim is to strengthen existing schools managed by central, state, or local authorities. Additionally, a plan is underway to establish one PMRI school in each block to provide extensive access to quality education.

Baghel emphasized that the PMRI scheme will revolutionize the education sector, with the Central government led by Narendra Modi providing ample funds and resources for the upliftment of education. He stated that the PMRI scheme will ensure that every school becomes like a Padma Shri, and there will be healthy competition among schools to improve themselves. He encouraged individuals to visit the official website of the scheme for more information.

During the occasion, BJP State President Sanjay Srivastava, State Media Co-incharge Anurag Agrawal, and State Spokesperson Mukesh Sharma were also present.
