The names of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Lok Sabha candidates in Chhattisgarh have reportedly been finalized and announcement is likely to be made soon. After the meeting of the Central Election Committee, which began on Thursday night in Delhi, it is now being reported that candidates have been almost finalized for two seats. It is reported that Saroj Pandey from Korba and Vijay Baghel from Durg will be BJP candidates.
In this meeting held in Delhi, Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao were present. After returning from Delhi, the Deputy Chief Minister said that discussions were held regarding potential candidates in the meeting of the Central Election Committee. The list can be out soon.
Sao said that there was extensive discussion in front of the Central Election Committee regarding potential candidates, and after considering the views of the Central Election Committee, the list of candidates will be announced soon. He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party will present capable and winning faces in the electoral arena.
Sao said that the atmosphere of Chhattisgarh, including today, is Modi-centric. The way the people of Chhattisgarh are influenced by Narendra Modi’s schemes and works, in such a situation, the people here will put all 11 seats of Chhattisgarh in Modi’s kitty. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the Congress party has already accepted defeat. Their big leaders are refusing to contest elections.
Sarguja – Kamalbhan Singh, Ramsevak Paikra, Vijay Nath Singh, and Ramkishun Singh’s candidature under consideration
Raigarh – Discussion on Arpi Sai, Gomti Sai, Sushma Khalko, Gendalal Kanwar, Satyanand Rathia, Shanta Sai, Ganeshram Bhagat, and Rajni Rathia’s names.
Janjgir – Discussion on Gurudayal Patle, Kamalesh Jangde, Rajeshwar Patle, Vedram Manhare, Navin Markandeya, Dr Krishnamurthy Bandhi, Kamla Patle, Guharam Ajgale, Santosh Lahre, and Ambesh Jangde’s names
Korba – Saroj Pandey is a strong contender for this seat, while consideration was also given to Vikas Mahato, Devendra Pandey, Hitanand Agrawal, Navin Patel, and Jagat Bahadur’s names for this seat.
Bilaspur – Rajnish Singh, Prabhu Sharma, Lakhan Lal Sahu, Tokhan Sahu, Brijendra Shukla, Lalit Makhija, Dr. Vinod Tiwari, and Amar Agrawal are strong contenders for this seat.
Durg – Current MP Vijay Baghel’s name is almost finalized for this seat. However, the names of Deepak Tarachand Sahu, and Ghanshyam Barle are also in consideration.
Rajnandgaon – Former MP Abhishek Singh, Fulbasan Bai, Komal Singh Rajput, Ramesh Patel, former MP Madhusudan Yadav, and current MP Santosh Pandey are strong contenders for this seat.
Raipur – Apart from current MP Sunil Soni, names like Lakshmi Verma, Ambika Yadav, Sanjay Shrivastava, Kedarnath Gupta, Omprakash Verma, and Brijmohan Agrawal are being considered.
Mahasamund – Discussion has been held on the names of Chandulal Sahu and Chunnilal Sahu for this seat.
Kanker – Consideration is being given to Bhojraj Nag, Vikas Markam, and current MP Mohan Mandavi, and Radhelal Nag for this seat.
Bastar – Discussion is underway regarding Ruup Singh Mandavi, Dinesh Kashyap, Subhauram Kashyap, Mahesh Gagra, and Ojasvi Mandavi’s names for this seat.
