Santosh Singh assumes office as SSP, Raipur

Raipur: Santosh Singh assumed office as the Senior Superintendent of Police in Raipur on Tuesday following a major reshuffle effected by the state government. Prior to this assignment, he was stationed in Bilaspur. Singh, an IPS officer from the 2011 batch, has been honored with the IPS award. During his tenure as SP in Mahasamund, he conducted a campaign against addiction called ‘Nijat’, for which he received several awards.



It is worth mentioning that the state government transferred IPS officers to 25 districts on Monday. Following this, Amresh Mishra became the new IG of Raipur Range, and Santosh Singh became the new SSP of Raipur. Meanwhile, the current SSP, Prashant Kumar Agrawal, has been transferred to Bastar.
