Chhattisgarh govt launches Unemployment Allowance Scheme to empower youth with unemployment allowance and training

Raipur: Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel’s government has taken a significant step towards empowering the youth of the state with the launch of the ‘Berojgari Bhatta Yojana’ (Unemployment Allowance Scheme). This innovative scheme aims to provide Unemployment Allowance and skill development training to young individuals, offering them a brighter future with enhanced employment prospects.

The state government’s unwavering commitment to secure the youth’s future is evident as Rs. 112.43 crore has been distributed to 1,22,625 beneficiaries’ bank accounts under the Unemployment Allowance Scheme. The financial assistance brings joy to the youth, enabling them to focus on their career goals without worrying about financial constraints.

In addition to the Unemployment Allowance, the state government is also providing employment-oriented training to promote self-reliance and competence among the youth. The training programs aim to equip youngsters with essential skills, reducing their dependency on the scheme and empowering them to secure better employment opportunities.

As part of a groundbreaking move, the state government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth Rs. 1188.36 crore to transform 36 government ITIs into cutting-edge Industry 4.0 Technology Hubs. This visionary project will offer training in six new technical trades and 23 short-term courses, benefiting approximately 10,000 youngsters annually. Armed with these advanced skills, the youth will be better prepared to excel across various industries, thus driving economic growth in the state.

To further support the progress of these ambitious individuals, the state government is also providing fee waivers for PSC (Public Service Commission) and Vyapam competitive examinations. The fee waivers will offer much-needed relief from financial constraints, enabling the youth to focus on their educational and career aspirations.
