Chhattisgarh transport department’s ‘Tuhar Sarkar Tuhar Dwaar’ yojana ensures hassle-free services to public

Raipur: In line with Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s vision and under the guidance of Transport Minister Mohammad Akbar, the Transport Department in Chhattisgarh has been efficiently operating the ‘Tuhar Sarkar Tuhar Dwaar’ facility. Since June 2021, the department has successfully delivered 21,93,623 smart card-based registration certificates and driving licences directly to applicants’ addresses. This people-centric initiative aims to enhance public convenience and eliminate the need for multiple visits to the department.

Through the ‘Tuhar Sarkar Tuhar Dwaar’ Yojana, the Transport Department has introduced SMS and WhatsApp services to inform applicants about the delivery status of their smart card-based registration certificates and driving licences. Additionally, applicants can now apply online for a new-format driving licence card through the official website, www.parivahan.gov.in. Upon Aadhaar authentication, the new driving licence card is delivered within 8–10 days, streamlining the process for citizens.

Moreover, the Yojana offers 22 transport-related services, such as renewal, change of address, and surrender of driving licences, which can be conveniently completed from home through Aadhaar authentication. The introduction of a helpline number, 75808-08030, operational on all working days, further assists applicants with inquiries related to the dispatch of driving licences and registration certificates. This initiative highlights the government’s commitment to enhancing public services, saving time, and promoting ease of access for citizens.
