CM Baghel pays tribute to freedom fighters Lokmanya Tilak and Chandrashekhar Azad on birth anniversary

Raipur: Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel paid homage to freedom fighters Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Chandrashekhar Azad on their birth anniversary, which is observed on July 23. Remembering their unwavering dedication to the Indian independence movement, Baghel hailed their lifelong commitment to the nation and their relentless fight for freedom until their last breath. He emphasized that their profound patriotism continues to serve as an inspiration to people even in the present times.
Baghel highlighted the significant role played by Lokmanya Tilak in initiating the Ganesh Utsav in Maharashtra, which marked a new era of social harmony. He also recalled how Tilak’s famous slogan, “Swaraj is my birthright, and I shall have it,” ignited a fervent spirit of freedom among millions of Indians during the struggle for independence. Reflecting on the indomitable spirit of Chandrashekhar Azad, the Chief minister acknowledged that his unwavering love for the country continues to instill a sense of patriotism and rejuvenate the youth with new energy. He stated that the immortal sacrifice of these great personalities for India’s independence will forever be etched in the nation’s memory.
