Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel virtually inaugrates Khokhsa Railway Overbridge, connecting Champa and Janjgir

Raipur: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel virtually inaugurated the newly constructed Khokhsa railway overbridge in Janjgir-Champa district from his residential office today. Present on this occasion were Dr. Shivkumar Dahariya, Minister of Urban Administration, Development, and Labour, Amarjeet Bhagat, Minister of Food and Culture, and M.R. Nishad, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Fishermen Welfare Board.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel congratulated everyone and expressed that after a long wait of 10 years, the bridge was finally inaugurated today, bringing comfort and convenience to the people. The bridge will connect Champa and Janjgir, and its construction on the Howrah-Mumbai rail route in the Janjgir-Champa district will ensure smooth traffic flow throughout the year. Over 10,000 people will be able to travel to the district and tehsil headquarters every day. The bridge spans 1168 meters and was built at a cost of over 29 crore rupees.
Dr. Charan Das Mahant, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, joined the programme virtually from Janjgir-Champa and emphasized that the approval of this bridge was the result of numerous efforts. He further stated that the bridge would connect Janjgir and Champa, and together, they would work towards fulfilling the dream of ‘Gadhbo Nava Chhattisgarh’. Leader of Opposition Narayan Chandel and Lok Sabha MP Guharam Ajgalle also addressed the occasion and extended their best wishes to the residents of the area.
