CM Baghel hosts special luncheon at his residence for Bilaspur division’s rural residents, public representatives

Raipur: “I visited all the Assembly Constituencies during my statewide Bhent-Mulakat programme. I had the opportunity to have a meal at one of the homes from your Bilaspur region. The heartwarming experience prompted me to extend an invitation to all of you to visit my residence as a gesture of gratitude. I am overwhelmed by your presence here”, said chief minister Bhupesh Baghel to the Bilaspur division residents and public representatives.

A special luncheon was hosted by chief minister today at his residence in Raipur for the rural residents and public representatives of the Bilaspur division. Meanwhile, during the Bhent-Mulakat programme, the Chief Minister partook lunch at the homes of these villagers and also met with the local public representatives.

Chief Minister joyfully expressed his gratitude and delight in meeting everyone, mentioning that some guests had presented him with a traditional ‘kurta’ while others had brought beautiful saree for his wife. Overwhelmed by the love and warmth he received, he struggled to find adequate words to express his appreciation.

Following Chhattisgarh’s beautiful tradition of honouring guests, chief minister graciously invited the guests to partake in lunch. He personally visited each table, inquiring about their well-being and expressing curiosity as to why other family members weren’t accompanying them. He affectionately interacted with the children and inquired about the well-being of the elderly.

Extending greetings of the ‘Rath Yatra’, chief minister said “This auspicious occasion is celebrated with great religious fervour across Chhattisgarh. In the Bilaspur region, I particularly remember the Rath Yatra of Raigarh. Today is the second day of the Ashadha month, but still, there is no rainfall. I have prayed to Lord Jagannath to bless us with seasonal rains.”

*Fulfilling Promises: Successful implementation of Bhent-Mulakat announcements in Kera village*

Chief Minister specifically inquired about the progress of the announced projects in the guests’ village during the Bhent-Mulakat programme. Sarpanch Lokesh Shukla from Kera village of Janjgir-Champa shared that 70 per cent of the work had been completed. The work of electrification has been successfully completed, and construction of the 1500-meter bridge in Devarha Ghat has commenced, with stone cutting currently in progress. Additionally, chief minister also announced the opening of a new college, which will commence in the school building now. Chief minister expressed that it is truly gratifying when rural residents convey their satisfaction and inform about the swift progress of development projects in their villages. The fulfilment of these announcements brings a great sense of satisfaction.
