More than 77,000 standard bags of tendu leaves collected in Gariaband district

Gariaband: Keeping in view the interest of collectors of tendu leaves,  the state government has increased the rate of tendu leaf collection to Rs 4,000 per standard bag. This move has brought significant benefits to the families of 61,200 tendu leaf collectors in the district. Besides, the implementation of the ‘Shaheed Mahendra Karma Tendupatta Sangrahak Samajik Suraksha Yojna’ has also brought positive changes in the lives of forest-dependent families in Chhattisgarh.
