The first National Ramayana Festival, organised for three days at Ram Leela Maidan in Raigarh, has begun. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated it today.
A 12-member international Ramayana team from Cambodia gave a mesmerising presentation at the inauguration. The 25-minute performance with their exotic costumes won the hearts of the audience. It was the occasion of the Ahiravan Hanuman incident.
In this context, Ravana’s brother Ahiravan is taken to Patal Lok by making Lord Ram unconscious. Hanuman goes to Patal Lok to bring Rama safely, where Hanuman encounters his son Makardhwaj. Both sides fight in the war, but there is no victory or defeat. In the end, Hanuman brings back Lord Ram. The team presented the episode in a soulful manner.
