Dispatch News.
The Chhattisgarh government’s half-electricity bill scheme has benefited more than 65 lakh families in the state. The state government launched the strategy in October 2020, and it has helped consumers save Rs. 1500 crore on electricity bills.
Under this plan, domestic consumers using up to 400 units of electricity per month are charged only half their total bill amount. This scheme applies to both urban and rural areas of the state.
The scheme has greatly relieved the people, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, when people struggled financially. This scheme has also helped to reduce the burden on people’s electricity bills.
According to the state government, the scheme has received a positive response from the people and has helped to increase electricity consumption in the state. The government is committed to providing affordable and reliable electricity to the people of Chhattisgarh.
