CM Bhupesh Baghel writes to Leader of Opposition Narayan Chandel ahead of their meeting with PM Narendra Modi.

Raipur. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has written to the Leader of the Opposition, Narayan Chandel, about the proposed meeting of Chhattisgarh BJP MLAs with the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. He hoped that they will take up the genuine issues, related to public welfare with the Prime Minister.
The chief minister said that he learnt about the BJP MLAs and MPs meeting with the prime minister. “Even as the meeting has been decided to keep in mind the upcoming assembly elections in the state, I am happy that a meeting with the PM will happen. I expect it will benefit the state,” said the chief minister.
The chief minister raised 11-point demands the for the state and hoped that the BJP leaders would demand something from the prime minister during their meeting.
The demands are the restoration of the GST compensation fund, Rs 4000 crore in pending coal royalty, procurement of rice equal to paddy, restoration of all the passenger trains, nonstop supply of coal and iron ore for the industries in the state, prevention of Nagarnar Steel Plant from going into the hands of private players, census, OBC census, and AICC survey, the inclusion of the reservation bill in the ninth schedule, recovery of investors’ money from the chit fund companies, support for running the metro train in Chhattisgarh, international airport status for Raipur, cargo hub, expansion of air services in Bilaspur, and connecting Ambikapur with air services.
If the BJP leaders want, we will provide them with the letter correspondence, said the chief minister. He hoped that the BJP leaders would raise these issues in detail.
