BJP accuses Congress of conspiring NAN scam against Dr Raman Singh

Raipur

Giving a new twist to the multi-crore civil supplies corporation scam surfaced in 2015 during the BJP government, Opposition BJP on Thursday accused Congress of conspiring the scam. To establish its claim, the BJP said that the Congress government is patronizing those senior IAS officials who had been prosecuted during the BJP government.

Talking to reporters, former minister Rajesh Munatalleged  that the entire government and administration are implicated as conspirators behind one person DrRaman Singh, his family and people related to himwhich indicates towards conspiracy at a higher level.

Munat said that the Congress has hatched the conspiracy regarding the Naan scam. A hit list was made by the Congress to target some selected people.

To tarnish the image of the then Chief Minister DrRaman Singh and snatch power, the Congress had deployed its army of corrupt officials to gather false evidence, said Munat.

In 2015, when the names of two senior officers surfaced in the NAN (Nagrik Apurti Nigam) scam, the Bharatiya Janata Party government took immediate action and filed a charge sheet against them.

The corrupt officers against whom cases were filed by the BJP government were honored with prestigious posts as soon as the Congress came to power.

When the Income Tax Department took action against these officers, evidence has been found from their WhatsApp chats which prove how senior Congress leaders were acting as protectors of corrupt officers. An officer refused to make a case against Dr Raman Singhand he was harassed, alleged Munat. In this case, transactions have taken place through hawala on a large scale by the officials, he said.
