Raipur

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghelhas written a letter to Enforcement Directorate (ED) raising the demand for an investigation against his predecessor Dr Raman Singh in Chhattisgarh Civil Supplies Corporation scam that came into light in 2015 during his tenure.

Baghel said that the scam was committed between 2004 and 2015, at the behest of the then Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, but theACB officials saved the accused in the scam. In the documents found with the accused, the matter of giving money to ‘CM Sir’ and ‘CM Madam’ is recorded, but it was not even included in the charge sheet.

Giving this information, Baghel said, “Prime Minister of the country has assured for a fair inquiry no matter the accused belongs to which political parties. I have written a letter to the ED demanding investigation into the scam and against the accused involved. Everything is transparent in the case and the ED to start investigation.” There is clear evidence of corruption in this. At that time the investigating officer of ACB had come in front of the media and said that the money has gone to the domain where they cannot go, cannot investigate. A lot of media houses will have the clippings of the same, he said. If there is no investigation in 15 days, a petition will be filed in the court, the chief minister said.
