IPS Officer Rajshree Mishra Gets Union Home Minister’s Medal for Busting ISIS-Inspired Radicalisation Module

Raipur: Chhattisgarh-cadre IPS officer Rajshree Mishra has been selected for the prestigious Union Home Minister’s Dakshata Padak (KGDP)-2026 for her outstanding contribution to intelligence operations following a six-month covert investigation that exposed an online radicalisation module influenced by Islamic State (ISIS) ideology in Raipur.
The 2018-batch IPS officer, currently serving as Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), led the investigation that involved technical surveillance and human intelligence. The operation traced digital links allegedly connecting two minors with the circulation of ISIS propaganda material.
Considering the sensitivity of the case, ATS officials carefully examined intelligence inputs and collected digital evidence before initiating legal proceedings under relevant provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). Proceedings involving the minors were conducted in accordance with the statutory provisions of the Juvenile Justice System.
The chargesheet was filed before the Juvenile Justice Board at Mana within the prescribed timeframe.
The investigation primarily focused on alleged online radicalisation and the dissemination of extremist content. Officials clarified that the case involved the circulation of propaganda material and did not involve the execution of terrorist attacks by the minors.
This will be Rajshree Mishra’s second Union Home Minister’s Dakshata Padak. She had earlier received the medal for excellence during her training. She was also honoured with the Police Medal for Meritorious Service in January 2026.
