RAIPUR
Positive thinking, human values, and responsible use of technology are the foundation of success in life, Chhattisgarh Governor Ramen Deka said on Sunday.
Addressing the ‘Roll-Bol Youth Conclave-2026’ organised by the social organisation Roll-Bol at the Medical College Auditorium in Raipur, Governor Deka urged young people to focus on present opportunities instead of dwelling on the past or worrying about the future.
Quoting Swami Vivekananda, Governor Deka emphasised that true success goes beyond personal achievements and also includes maintaining good relationships with family, friends, and neighbours.
He said youngsters should consider failure as a learning experience and use it as motivation to work harder and achieve success in the future.
Speaking about the impact of modern technology, Governor Deka said tools such as Google and Artificial Intelligence (AI) provide access to vast amounts of information. However, young people must also develop original thinking and self-discovery.
He cautioned against the misuse of digital platforms, highlighting risks such as fake news, misleading content, and deepfakes.
“Technology and artificial intelligence must be used responsibly for social welfare, not destruction,” Governor Deka said. He added that machines may be intelligent, but they cannot replace human empathy, character, and core values.
Skill Development, Technical Education and Employment Minister Guru Khushwant Sahib, Bollywood music composer Monty Sharma, office-bearers of the Roll-Bol organisation, and prominent personalities from politics, media, industry, and cinema attended the event.
