Raipur Girl Rescued After Being Kidnapped, Raped in Telangana; Accused Arrested

A 12-year-old girl was abducted from Raipur and sexually assaulted by an accused youth identified as Golu alias Vinay. The crime took place in an under-construction house in Telangana as the accused took her to the neighbouring state after kidnapping.
The police have successfully apprehended the accused from Telangana and rescued the minor girl from his clutches. Golu, who had come to Raipur to work as a laborer, became acquainted with the girl during his work.
On August 28, the girl’s relatives filed a complaint at the police station, reporting that their 12-year-old girl was missing and had been lured away by an unknown person. The police promptly registered a case of kidnapping against the accused and initiated a search operation.
During the investigation, the police discovered that the minor girl was in Telangana. A team from Raipur Police was dispatched and successfully rescued the girl from Indresham Navya Colony in Medak district of Telangana. The girl has been safely returned to her parents.
According to the police, the accused, Golu alias Vinay Jangde, is a resident of Bemetara district who had come to Raipur for work. During his time there, he became acquainted with the girl, who fell into his trap and left her parents’ house to go with him.
The police revealed that the accused had kept the minor in an under-construction house, where he was subsequently arrested. During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime. He was produced in court, which remanded him to jail. The police have taken action against the accused under the POCSO Act.
