CM Baghel inaugurated Shaheed Virnarayan Singh Eco Tourism Circuit
Raipur: Under his state-wide Bhent-Mulaqat campaign, chief minister Bhupesh Baghel reached Sonakhan village of Bilaigarh assembly constituency in Balodabazar district, where he inaugurated the eco-tourism circuit and museum built in the memory of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh of Chhattisgarh today.
This artwork has been shaped amidst nature in the dense forests of Kurrupath in Sonakhan. In this first-of-its-kind museum of the state, Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh’s biography is displayed through audio-visual setup and a special metal corten steel.
A special kind of corten steel has been used to display the glory of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh- the hero who led the rebellion against the British rule in the freedom struggle of 1857. It was told that corten steel is a type of metal that already has a layer of rust on it and this metal does not harm nature. Amidst the greenery of the Kurrupath mountain, its panoramic beauty is a sight to behold.
The biography of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh is engraved on the tall and beautiful panels made of corten steel, which can be seen in daylight as well as at night. Amazing setup of lights make it special and different. All the panels are accompanied by an audio setup where one can listen to narration of the journey of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh of Sonakhan, his revolution and sacrifices. This audio is available in Hindi, English and Chhattisgarhi language. Tourists can select the language of audio as per their choice.
Meanwhile, corten steel has been used to create artifacts under various mega projects of the country including Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, Bihar Museum and prestigious projects in many countries. This innovation will give a boost to the tourism sector and also generate employment opportunities.
