Various CGMSC warehouses currently stock more than 400 types of medicines, which are being distributed regularly to healthcare facilities based on demand. Purchase orders have also been issued for approximately 150 additional medicines.
The supply of these medicines is progressing through various stages and is expected to further strengthen medicine availability across the state once received.

Monsoon Preparedness and Surgical Supplies
CGMSC is making special preparations to ensure the availability of medicines ahead of the monsoon season. Adequate stock of medicines such as Primaquine and Quinine Sulfate, used for the treatment of malaria, diarrhoea, viral fever, respiratory infections, and other seasonal illnesses, has been secured.
Anti-malarial drugs are well-stocked, and additional supplies of several medicines are expected shortly.
All warehouses also maintain sufficient stock of consumable surgical materials, including syringes, needles, gauze, cotton, operation theatre essentials, gloves, surgical instruments, and supplies required for treating accidental injuries.
Uninterrupted Supply Strategy
CGMSC and health department experts are identifying around 100 critical, life-saving, and essential medicines to ensure their seamless availability at Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Community Health Centres (CHCs), District Hospitals, and Urban Health Centres.
This special initiative aims to guarantee that these key medicines remain available across all CGMSC warehouses at all times, preventing shortages under any circumstances.
To achieve this, CGMSC is implementing continuous reforms through IT-based tools and dashboard monitoring systems. Medicines are being supplied regularly based on demand from healthcare institutions, while procurement activities continue to strengthen overall availability.
The public can verify medicine availability through the CGMSC Public Portal rather than relying on unverified reports or incomplete information. CGMSC remains committed to ensuring the timely availability of essential medicines for quality and free treatment at state healthcare institutions.
