Bilaspur Police have launched a major crackdown on anti-social elements across the district, taking action against 513 individuals between April 2026 and 12 May 2026. The special drive was conducted under the direction of Rajnesh Singh to curb hooliganism, illegal weapon possession and public nuisance.
Police teams carried out intensive patrolling and checking operations across all police station areas. The drive targeted history-sheeters, drunk troublemakers in public places and motorists using vehicles without registration plates.

In several instances, police personnel reportedly made offenders perform public sit-ups as a warning against disturbing law and order and to reassure citizens about public safety.
