Nearly 16.25 lakh precaution doses of Covid-19 vaccine administered in the last 10 days
Raipur: Nearly 16.25 lakh precaution doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been administered in the last ten days (15 to 24 July) in Chhattisgarh. Besides, 24.95 lakh 95 people of the state have received their precautionary shots so far (till July 24). Under the Covid Vaccination Amrit Mahotsav, free vaccination doses are being administered to people between the ages of 18 and 59 at all government Covid vaccination centers across the state from July 15. Earlier, free precaution doses were being administered at these centers only to health workers, frontline workers and people 60 years of age and above. The Health Department has appealed to all the eligible people to apply precautionary doses to prevent corona infection.State Nodal Officer of Corona Vaccination and Director of National Health Mission Vilas Sandipan Bhoskar informed that free of cost vaccination facility is being provided under Amrit Mahotsav. For this, instructions have been given to all the districts to formulate special action plans. This facility is being provided at all the Covid vaccination centers of the state. People who have completed six months or 26 weeks of second vaccination of Covid vaccine can visit these centers and get booster doses free of cost.
