Final Electoral Roll on February 7, 2026: SIR Survey to Ensure Accuracy and Transparency

Raipur | October 28, 2025

To make the voter list clean, accurate, and inclusive, the Election Commission has launched a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign across Chhattisgarh. The drive aims to identify and remove duplicate, deceased, and shifted voters while adding eligible new voters to the list.

Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Yashwant Kumar urged all political parties to actively support the process through their Booth Level Agents (BLAs) so that no eligible citizen is left out and inaccurate entries are corrected.

Representatives from BSP, BJP, CPI(M), INC, AAP, and NPP participated in the meeting and shared their inputs.

Key Actions under SIR
• Door-to-door verification of voter details
• Notices and hearings for mismatched or incomplete records
• Lists of absent, duplicate, and deceased voters to be published on CEO website and public offices

Any voter or BLA from recognized political parties can file claims or objections during the revision process. The final roll will be published after resolving all claims, objections, and appeals.

Important Dates
• Printing/Training: October 28 – November 3, 2025
• House-to-house Enumeration: November 4 – December 4, 2025
• Draft Voter List Publication: December 9, 2025
• Claims & Objections: December 9, 2025 – January 8, 2026
• Notice Phase (Hearings & Verification): December 9, 2025 – January 31, 2026
• Final Electoral Roll Publication: February 7, 2026

The Election Commission believes that the SIR initiative will strengthen the foundation of free, fair, and transparent elections in the state.
