Minor found hanging from tree in Raipur: Suicide suspected due to financial distress; police investigating

A minor boy was found hanging from a tree in Nardaha, located in the Vidhan Sabha police station area of Raipur. The deceased used to run a small tea and snack stall in the village. On the morning of August 1, villagers spotted his body and immediately informed the police.
Upon receiving the information, the police reached the spot and brought the body down. Initial investigation suggests it is a case of suicide. Police suspect that the minor took his life due to financial hardship. He had reportedly brought the rope himself to carry out the act. The investigation is ongoing.
According to the Vidhan Sabha police station in-charge, the deceased has been identified as Suraj Yadav (17), a resident of Nardaha village. It is believed that the boy died by suicide between 3 and 4 am on Friday. The body has been sent for postmortem. Further investigation is underway to confirm the cause of death.
No suicide note was recovered from the boy. After the postmortem, the body will be handed over to the family. Police are questioning the boy’s relatives to gather more information.
