Amit Shah on Two-Day Visit to Chhattisgarh : To Lay Foundation of NFSU Raipur Campus and Review Anti-Naxal Operations

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will be on a two-day visit to Chhattisgarh starting today. He is scheduled to arrive in Raipur around 2:30 PM, where he will lay the foundation stone for key national projects and hold crucial meetings related to anti-Naxal operations. He will also interact with security personnel during the visit.

As per the official itinerary, Shah will inaugurate the Raipur campus of the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) in Sector-2 of Nava Raipur. Prior to this, the Home Minister last visited Chhattisgarh in April to attend the concluding ceremony of the Bastar Dandakaranya Tribal Festival (Pandrum Mahotsav).

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will receive and welcome the Home Minister upon his arrival in Raipur.

Shah is expected to arrive in Raipur at around 2 PM.
He will proceed to Sector-2 in Nava Raipur to lay the foundation stone of the NFSU Raipur campus.

Following the event, he will chair a high-level meeting with DGPs and ADGPs of Chhattisgarh and neighbouring states at a resort in Nava Raipur.

Later, a separate meeting will be held to review ongoing anti-Naxal operations.

Shah will stay overnight in Raipur.

On the second day, Shah is scheduled to interact with villagers from the remote Abujhmad region.

He will also hold a meeting with BSF personnel, have lunch with them, and discuss the progress and strategy of anti-Naxal efforts.

The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) is a central government-run institution headquartered in Gujarat. Established in 2009, it offers specialized courses in forensic science, investigative science, and criminology. Students graduating from NFSU can pursue careers as forensic scientists, analysts, and forensic psychologists.

In addition to laying the foundation of the university campus, Amit Shah will also perform the bhoomipujan (groundbreaking) for Chhattisgarh’s first Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) in Raipur, set to be the most high-tech forensic lab in the state.
