Raipur Municipal Corporation has pasted a notice at the residence of the notorious moneylenders, the Tomar Brothers. The notice seeks documentation related to a 1,000 square foot office constructed at the premises. A four-day deadline has been given to submit the documents. It warns that failure to respond will make the recipients solely responsible for any future action. The notice was issued by the Commissioner of Zone 6.

Meanwhile, police continue to tighten the noose around individuals linked to the Tomar Brothers’ financial operations. Raipur’s Purani Basti police have arrested two individuals involved in the recovery of money lent at exorbitant interest rates. During the investigation, police found detailed records of illegal collections worth crores of rupees linked to the Tomar Brothers.

Virendra and Rohit Tomar remain absconding, and police are actively searching for them.

Police revealed that recoveries were made under the name “Visto Finance,” with a group operated by collection manager Bunty Sahare, who maintained all transaction records. So far, four people, including a woman, have been arrested in the case, while Virendra and Rohit Tomar are still on the run.

During interrogation, Bunty Sahare confessed that he had been working as an interest recovery manager for the past two years on instructions from Rohit Tomar, Virendra Tomar, and Divyansh. He managed a WhatsApp group named “Visto Finance” to keep track of interest collections and operated the group. People who failed to pay interest were allegedly threatened by the Tomar Brothers.

The joint team of the Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Purani Basti Police arrested Bunty Sahare (36), a resident of Jhanda Chowk, Shivnagar Changorabhatha, and Jitendra Dewangan alias Monu (24), a resident of Sheetla Para, Simga. One phone was recovered from their possession.
