CM Sai Lauds ‘Chintan Shivir 2.0’ as Catalyst for Innovative Governance and Policy Reform

Raipur
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Saturday hailed the ongoing ‘Chintan Shivir 2.0’ as a powerful platform for shaping effective governance and refining policy-making. He said such training sessions offer ministers a fresh outlook and deeper understanding of transformational leadership and good governance.

Sai, along with all state ministers, attended the inaugural session of the two-day brainstorming event held at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur. The session featured in-depth discussions on themes such as transformative leadership, visionary governance, culture, good governance, and nation-building.

In a thought-provoking keynote, Professor Himanshu Rai, Director of IIM Indore, spoke on “Transformative Leadership and Visionary Governance.” Drawing from the Bhagavad Gita, he emphasized ethical leadership and selfless service, urging leaders to act based on righteousness rather than outcome-driven motives.

Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, former President of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, addressed the session on “Culture, Good Governance, and Nation-Building.” He stressed that India’s unity is not just territorial, but deeply rooted in cultural and spiritual consciousness.
Nation-building stems from cultural awareness and moral values, not merely from policy or financial resources,” he remarked. He also underscored Antyodaya—the upliftment of the last person—as a cornerstone of governance.

Chief Minister Sai said that Chintan Shivir sessions energise the administrative machinery and help chart new directions for development. He called the expert insights from the day’s sessions “highly motivational and policy-enriching.”

Among those present were Rahul Bhagat, Secretary to the Chief Minister; Rajat Bansal, Special Secretary, Department of Good Governance and Convergence; IIM Raipur Director Ram Kumar Kakani; and all ministers of the Chhattisgarh cabinet.
