Moreover, his relentless efforts included organizing camps aimed at eradicating illiteracy and providing essential healthcare services to the marginalized community.
Recognized previously with the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Award in 2015, Jageshwar Yadav is affectionately known as the “Brother of Birhor,” reflecting his close bond and commitment to their welfare.
Jageshwar Yadav’s journey began in Bhithghara, where he witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by the Birhor tribe. Hindered by limited access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities, he resolved to make a difference in their lives.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, his efforts facilitated the establishment of vaccination facilities and contributed to reducing infant mortality rates.
Thanks to Jageshwar Yadav’s tireless efforts, Birhor children now attend school regularly. Previously isolated, the Birhor community has begun to interact more with outsiders, marking a significant shift.
