Dantewada DRG, Bastar Fighters (BFR) in collaboration with CRPF achieve significant success by eliminating three Maoist commanders

RaipurDantewada (DRG) Bastar Fighters (BFR) achieved significant success, eliminating three Maoist commanders, including the LOS commander, with rewards of over 10 lakhs.In a major breakthrough, the Kangar Valley Area Committee was encountered, resulting in the elimination of three hardcore Maoists, including the LOS commander Peddaras Laxman Kuharam and ACM Soma Madavi, each with rewards of Rs 5 lakh.

Wanted in over 30 Naxal incidents across several districts in Chhattisgarh and Odisha, these Maoists were a significant threat to the region’s security.The seized items include 01 pistol, 02 firearms, BGL cell, explosive materials, Maoist uniforms, backpacks, Naxal literature, medicines, and other Naxal-related equipment.With the intention of executing a major incident, including prominent Naxal commanders from the Darbha Division, 30-40 armed Maoists were conducting a meeting.The Dantewada (DRG) Bastar Fighters (BFR) and CRPF team acted promptly against the nefarious plans of the Maoists.Under the guidance of Sundararaj P. (IPS), Inspector General of Police, Bastar Range, Kamlochan Kashyap (IPS), DIG, Dantewada Range, and Vikas Katheria (IPS), DIG(Operations) CRPF, Dantewada Range, and under the Direction of Gaurav Rai (IPS), Superintendent of Police, and Ram Kumar Barman (SPS), Addl SP Dantewada, the district police and CRPF launched a coordinated joint operation in various regions of the district on Sunday. The team of Dantewada DRG and Bastar Fighters, led by DSP Rahul Kumar Uikey, received intelligence that with the intention of executing a major incident, including prominent Naxal commanders from the Darbha Division, 30-40 armed Maoists were conducting a meeting. During the operation, around 5:30 PM, in the jungle hills between Tumakpal and Dabba Kunna, under the jurisdiction of Thana Katekalyan, the Maoists initiated indiscriminate firing on the team of Dantewada DRG and Bastar Fighters with the intention to kill police personnel and loot weapons. In self-defense, the police responded with counteraction. The Maoists fled the jungle hills, leaving behind the bodies of three Maoist commanders, 01 pistol, 02 firearms, BGL cell, explosive materials, Maoist uniforms, backpacks, Naxal literature, medicines, and other Naxal-related equipment. The police have declared a reward of 5 lakhs INR against Laxman Kuharam, and a similar reward for ACM Soma Madavi.Kangar Ghati Area Committee’s Peddaras LOS Commander Laxman Kuharam, son of Vijja Kuharam, resident of Chandameta Patanampara, Thana Darbha, District Bastar, has a declared reward of 5 Lakhs INR against him.
