Questioning the ‘unusual’ silence of Prime Minister NarendraModi on industrialist Gautam Adani, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday said that the prime minister thumped his chest in the Rajya Sabha, but did not reply to the genuine questions asked by the members of oppositions.
Talking to the media before his departure for Mainpat Utsav in Ambikapur, Baghel said that the Prime Minister does not talk about what the country wants to listen from him. He did not say a word about Adani. LIC’s money is sinking, SBI’s money is stuck, but the Prime Minister is misleading the nation.
Baghel further said that the Prime Minister spoke by thumping his chest, it seemed good, even after being 70 plus, he still has stamina. But the question is that he did not speak what the country wanted to hear. How did Adani slip from number two to 23 and who reached number two from number 609, questioned Baghel. Baghel alleged that IT and CBI were misused in the country to make Adani rich.
Regarding the notice and reservation bill pending for the approval in the Raj Bhavan, the Chief Minister said that he respects the Governor, but it is a matter of the interest of the people of the state, especially the youth, because this class is to get the benefit of reservation. Be it ST, SC, OBC or EWS.
Raising questions on the Raj Bhavan, Baghel said that the Raj Bhavan is playing into the hands of the Bharatiya Janata Partyon the reservation bill issue, which is unfortunate.
