New transmission line energised to boost power supply in six districts

Raipur: Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Company has energised a new 400 kV transmission line, built at a cost of ₹286 crore, to improve power supply across six districts, including Raipur.
The 50.7-kilometre-long 400 kV DCDS Quad Moose Dhardehi-Bilaspur Pool (PowerGrid-PGCIL) transmission line was successfully energised at 12:34 pm today. The project will benefit Raipur, Bilaspur, Mungeli, Bemetara, Kabirdham, and Bhatapara-Baloda Bazar districts by strengthening the power transmission network and meeting both current and future electricity demands.
Managing Director Rajesh Kumar Shukla oversaw the energisation of the transmission line. Executive Director (Lines) Sanjay Patel, Executive Director (Substations), Bilaspur, Kalpana Ghate, and CSPDCL Bilaspur Region Executive Director A.K. Ambastha, along with other senior officials, were present on the occasion.
During construction, technical teams successfully completed four power line crossings using hotline maintenance methods. Railway crossings were also completed through hotline stringing without requiring a power block. Officials and workers resolved Right-of-Way (ROW) challenges through coordination and technical planning, ensuring the successful commissioning of the project.
