Additional Superintendent of Police Rashmit Kaur Chawla has been assigned to lead a fresh probe into the case involving a 14-year-old accused of raping two minor girls.

The victims’ mothers alleged that when they approached the police station to file a complaint, the SI urged them to settle the matter, prompting the families to report the issue to the SSP.

According to the families, the accused allegedly lured the girls with chocolates, tied them with ropes and assaulted them.

The SSP has directed the ASP to complete the investigation within a fixed timeframe, file the chargesheet in court, and submit weekly progress reports to ensure accountability and an impartial investigation.
