Raigarh Police Crack Down on Bike Stunt Activity Near Medical College After Viral Videos

Raigarh. Raigarh police have launched a strict crackdown on youth performing dangerous motorcycle stunts on Ektal Road behind the local medical college, following viral videos circulating on social media.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shashi Mohan Singh ordered immediate action after videos showed bikers and content creators speeding and performing stunts on a levelled stretch of land developed for pipeline work. The location had gradually turned into a popular stunt spot for youngsters, raising serious concerns over public safety and potential accidents.
Acting on the instructions of the SSP, Traffic DSP Uttam Pratap Singh and Chakradharnagar Police Station in-charge Rakesh Mishra intensified patrolling in the area and installed barricades to restrict access.
Despite these measures, five youths reached the spot the next day to perform stunts. Police detained all five individuals and produced them before the SSP. They were counselled against risking their lives for social media fame and views.
Traffic DSP Uttam Pratap Singh stated that the youths were booked under the Motor Vehicles Act and challans were issued. Authorities are also planning to install concertina wires along the stretch to prevent further violations.
SSP Shashi Mohan Singh issued a stern warning, saying, “Do not risk your lives for thrill and social media views. Parents must monitor their children’s activities and guide them away from such dangerous behaviour.”
Police have confirmed that strict action will continue against anyone found performing stunts in public places and endangering road safety.
