RAIPUR: Padma Vibhushan awardee and renowned Chhattisgarh folk artist Teejan Bai continues to remain in critical condition at AIIMS Raipur, where she has been undergoing treatment since May 27.
According to a medical bulletin issued on Saturday, Teejan Bai is admitted to the Critical Care Unit (CCU) due to breathing difficulty, generalized weakness, and multiple pre-existing co-morbidities.
AIIMS Raipur stated that she is under continuous monitoring by a multidisciplinary medical team, but continues to face life-threatening complications despite intensive medical management.
Executive Director Lt Gen (Retd.) Ashok Jindal personally reviewed her condition and directed the treating team to provide the highest standard of medical care.
