Raipur: A joint team of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) recovered a large cache of explosive materials hidden by Maoists in the forests of Annapur under the Farsegarh police station limits.

Security forces discovered the dump during a routine area domination and de-mining operation between Pillur and Annaram. Acting on credible intelligence, the team located a white plastic water tank buried underground, which contained the explosives.
The recovered material includes:
- Sulphur: 50 kg
- Urea: 100 kg (two bags)
- Gunpowder: 10 kg
The security personnel destroyed the explosives on the spot, strictly following safety protocols.
Search operations, area domination, and de-mining efforts continue across the region to maintain security. The Bijapur police have urged residents to report any suspicious objects found in the forest or elsewhere to the nearest police station or security camp immediately.
