Kolkata–Pune flight makes emergency landing in Raipur after woman passenger falls unconscious mid-air

Raipur: An IndiGo flight from Kolkata to Pune made an emergency landing at Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur on Thursday after a woman passenger suffered a medical emergency. Flight 6E-135 was diverted to the Chhattisgarh capital when the passenger lost consciousness mid-air.
The cabin crew immediately contacted Raipur Air Traffic Control (ATC) after the woman’s health deteriorated. The aircraft landed safely at around 12 pm, where airport authorities had already kept a medical team on standby.
The medical team provided primary treatment to the passenger inside the aircraft before she was shifted to a nearby hospital via ambulance for further care. While official updates on her condition are awaited, hospital sources have indicated that her condition is stable.
According to Raipur airport officials, the emergency landing was carried out safely without causing any inconvenience to other passengers. The flight remained on the tarmac for about one hour to complete medical and technical formalities.
The aircraft later took off for Pune at around 1 pm and reached its destination the same day.
