Raipur:
Santosh Singh, a senior IPS officer from Chhattisgarh cadre, has assumed charge as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), South Zone II, at the headquarters in Hyderabad.
Singh has taken over the responsibilities of DIG, CISF South Zone II, which includes overseeing security arrangements across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and northern Karnataka. The role entails safeguarding CISF-protected units such as mines, industrial establishments, public sector undertakings, and other critical installations in these regions.
The responsibilities also extend to ensuring security at some key ports located in West Bengal and Odisha.
