Yuvoday Hashed ke Hero: A New Era of Youth-Driven Transformation Unveiled in Janjgir Champa District

Janjgir, [10 August 2023] – Yuvoday Hashed ke Hero, an innovative and impactful volunteer initiative, was officially launched in Janjgir District with resounding success and enthusiasm. This transformative platform, driven by the fervor and dedication of local youth, is set to create positive social and behavioral changes within families and communities, aimed at enhancing the well-being of women and children throughout the district.

The launch event, a beacon of optimism and commitment, garnered immense support and participation from the local populace. Over 150 enthusiastic individuals pledged their unwavering commitment by enlisting as volunteers for Yuvoday – Hashed ke Hero. The initiative seeks to harness the potential of the youth, providing them with a robust platform to channel their passion, energy, and innovative ideas into driving tangible progress within their communities.
Highlighting his belief in the power of youth to drive lasting change, Janjgir District Collector Richa Prakash Choudhary stated, “Yuvoday Hashed ke Hero empowers our youth to lead the way towards transformative societal change. This initiative offers them an opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals and the collective well-being of our district.”
Underlining the significance of this initiative, Job Zachariah, Chief of UNICEF Chhattisgarh, emphasized its role in empowering young people and addressing pressing community challenges. He stated, “UNICEF remains committed to nurturing the skills and potential of adolescents through civic engagement endeavors like Yuvoday Hashed ke Hero. By fostering a generation of young volunteers, we are driving forward positive change and tackling critical issues head-on.”
Yuvoday Hashed ke Hero has identified four key areas for concentrated efforts in Janjgir District:
- Community-based Mental Health: Focusing on mental well-being to promote holistic health within the community.
- Adolescent Well-being: Empowering and supporting the youth to ensure a bright and promising future.
- Parental engament for learning outcome at home
- Substance Abuse Prevention: Raising awareness and providing support to combat substance abuse within the community.
The initiative aspires to create a network of passionate youth champions and advocates who will advocate and promote key behavioral practices throughout the district. With the technical support of UNICEF, Yuvoday Hashed ke Hero aims to foster sustainable change and uplift the well-being of individuals and communities.
The launch event witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Vijay Agrawal, Superintendent of Police, Abhishek Singh, Specialist SBC, UNICEF, representatives of the district administration, and the steadfast commitment of more than 150 dedicated youth volunteers of Yuvoday Hashed ke Hero.
