Raipur. According to the Center for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) latest data report, Chhattisgarh ranks third among the states with the lowest unemployment rate in the country. Policy decisions and better management of the state government has been creating various employment opportunities for youth, which led to a decline of the unemployment rate to 1.7 percent. As per CMIE data, as of February 2022, Odisha has the lowest unemployment rate in the country, and the highest unemployment rate is Rajasthan i.e. 32.3 and Haryana i.e. 31 percent.

Despite the challenges of this phase, the unemployment rate in Chhattisgarh remained completely under control. Chhattisgarh ranks third among states with low unemployment with 1.7 per cent, while neighboring Odisha ranks first with one per cent, according to the newly released data. Meghalaya is second with 1.4 percent and Karnataka is fourth with 2 percent. The unemployment rate is 32.3 percent in Rajasthan, 31 percent in Haryana, 15 percent in Jharkhand and 14 percent in Bihar. According to the latest report of CMIE the unemployment rate in the country is 7.4 percent. The urban unemployment rate is 8.1 percent and the rural unemployment rate is 7.2 percent.
