The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) and Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Raipur, on Wednesday conducted search operations at three locations belonging to associates of accused Anwar Dhebar in connection with the CSMCL overtime payment scam.
The searches were carried out under Case No. 44/2024, registered under Sections 7(B) and 8 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended in 2018), along with Sections 467, 468, 471, and 120B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
During the operation, officials seized key documents and evidence indicating that proceeds from the alleged scam were invested in named and benami properties by Dhebar.
Based on the evidence gathered, the bureau is questioning Dhebar’s associates and other linked individuals. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
