Union Home Ministry’s agency BPR&D has included the campaign of Chhattisgarh in the list of best states.
Rajnandgaon:The Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has published a book on the good work being done by the police and other police organisations of various states across the country on the innovation and good practices of Smart Policing.
A total of thirty outstanding works of police organisations across the country have been included in the list. In which a detailed article (page 81- 90) has been published on the rescue campaign of Koriya Police of Chhattisgarh.
It is noteworthy that on the instructions of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Chhattisgarh Police have intensified the drive against illegal drug peddling. Police launched a campaign titled ‘Nijat’ under which people are being made aware about drugs and its ill effects, action being taken against those engaged in illegal business.
An active role of Superintendent of Police, Koriya, Santosh Singh made an impact on the society as people, youths in particular, were influenced to work in spreading awareness in the society. At present this campaign is being run by RajnadgaonPolice. Police Headquarters has also written to other districts of the state to take action on the line of Koriya and Rajnandgaon Police.
Apart from this, articles related to the history and various aspects of Naxalism by Chhattisgarh Police, and information related to Emergency Response System Dial 112 are also included in this book.
