Chhattisgarh Police Recruitment Main Exam Dates Revised to Avoid Clash with Teacher Recruitment Test

Raipur: The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) has revised the schedule for the Subedar, Sub-Inspector Cadre and Platoon Commander (Main) Examination-2024 following the intervention of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai to avoid a clash with the teacher recruitment examination.

The main examination, which was earlier scheduled for October 24, 25 and 26, 2026, will now be conducted on November 2, 3 and 4, 2026.

The decision was taken after the state government came to know that the teacher recruitment examination was scheduled for October 25, creating a conflict for candidates preparing for both examinations. The clash had raised concerns among aspirants that they might be forced to miss one of the two examinations.

The CGPSC had declared the result of the preliminary written examination on August 4 for the Subedar, Sub-Inspector Cadre and Platoon Commander Examination-2024 under the Home (Police) Department. It had subsequently announced October 24, 25 and 26 as the tentative dates for the main examination.

After the issue was brought to the Chief Minister’s notice, Sai directed officials to take necessary steps in the interest of candidates and resolve the scheduling problem. The CGPSC subsequently revised the examination dates.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that the interests of the state’s youth are the government’s top priority and that no eligible candidate should lose an opportunity merely because of a clash between examination schedules.

He said candidates work hard for years to prepare for competitive examinations and should not be forced to choose between two opportunities because of practical issues related to the administrative or examination schedule.

The Chief Minister added that the state government is sensitive to the aspirations of young people and committed to taking prompt decisions on issues affecting their future.

The CGPSC has advised candidates shortlisted for the main examination to submit separate online applications. Detailed information regarding the application process will be issued by the Commission separately.

Candidates have been advised to regularly check the CGPSC website for the latest updates regarding the examination.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai also extended his best wishes to all candidates appearing in the upcoming recruitment examinations and wished them success in their future endeavours.
