Police-Maoists encounter in Sukma.

Raipur. Some Maoists were reportedly killed, and nearly half a dozen Naxalites got injured in an encounter between police and Maoists in the Sukma district of Chhattisgarh on Thursday morning. Explosives, including Barrel Grenade Launcher (BGL), have been recovered from the spot. The troopers were searching the area when reports last came in.
A joint team of CRPF, STF and Cobra Battalion jawans was dispatched from Dabbamarka Police Camp on Wednesday night for the search after a tip-off. Two CoBRAjawans suffered minor injuries in the encounter that lasted for over half an hour.
Maoists escaped by taking advantage of the cover of the forest. The troopers demolished the camp of the Maoists. Several explosives, including BGL, have been recovered from the spot. According to Bastar IG Sundarraj P, around 5-6, Maoists have received injuries.
Many places at the encounter spot had blood stains. Police claimed to have killed some Maoists. Maoists fired BGL and UBGL at the jawans.
